Avinash has 13 years of experience and has been part of the Grant Thornton network since 2011. He specialises primarily in audits under IFRS, Ind AS and Indian GAAP. He has extensive experience working with and advising clients on complex accounting areas such as revenue recognition, financial instruments, business combinations and leases.
He has assisted clients in transitioning to IFRS and Ind AS frameworks and in developing and implementing robust accounting policies. He has also been involved in several engagements advising clients in accounting and reporting for cryptocurrencies, digital asset tokens and NFTs in accordance with IFRS. He has also worked with offshore delivery centres (centralised book-keeping centres) and led multi-location group audits for medium to large multi-nationals.
Currently, Avinash manages the India-Singapore business corridor for Grant Thornton in Singapore. He has an intricate understanding of the working and cultural dynamics in India and Singapore and has a successful track record of managing multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.
Avinash is also part of the firm’s audit technical consultation team that is responsible for establishing the firm’s position on complex accounting and auditing matters and assisting teams in interpretation and application of standards across our audit clientele.
Avinash’s core sector experience lies in Technology, Healthcare, Energy and Real Estate sectors. His experience also extends to Manufacturing, Trading, Education, Retail and Hospitality.
