Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of clients by providing corporate secretarial, incorporation, governance and advisory services while ensuring high standards of service delivery
- Oversee the delivery of corporate secretarial and governance services, ensuring compliance with the Singapore Companies Act, ACRA requirements and applicable statutory and regulatory obligations
- Lead and supervise the corporate secretarial team by providing guidance, coaching, technical support and development feedback to team members
- Review corporate secretarial documentation, statutory records and filings prepared by the team to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Advise clients on the Companies Act, corporate governance and corporate secretarial best practices
- Oversee customer due diligence (CDD), client onboarding, and ongoing monitoring processes in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and provide guidance to clients and team members on their implications
- Manage client relationships by acting as a trusted business advisor, ensuring client satisfaction, and identifying opportunities to provide value-added services
- Liaise with statutory bodies, banks and other third-party business partners as and when required
- Collaborate with other service lines to deliver integrated solutions and support business development initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement of processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and service quality
- Perform other incidental duties and special projects assigned from time to time
Qualifications and requirements
- Degree or relevant professional qualification; a relevant diploma may be considered with substantial experience
- Chartered Secretary qualification, or currently pursuing a recognised corporate secretarial qualification, is preferred
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in corporate secretarial services, preferably within a professional services environment, with at least 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience
- Strong technical knowledge of the Singapore Companies Act, subsidiary legislation, ACRA compliance requirements and relevant regulatory frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good client servicing, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Able to work independently, manage multiple engagements, and work under tight deadlines
- Proactive, adaptable, and a good team player
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop team members
