Responsibilities 

  • Lead and complete audit reviews, agree timetables, brief audit teams, monitor budgets, and supervise junior colleagues
  • Build and sustain strong client relationships, while identifying and assessing opportunities for business growth
  • Draft and prepare proposals in collaboration with directors and partners
  • Manage, motivate and coach team members, providing regular feedback and supporting their professional development
  • Oversee client portfolios and communicate effectively with partners as required
  • Plan, direct and complete Singapore statutory audits; supervise staff assignments; review financial statements and technical accounting issues
  • Collaborate closely with the Partners, Directors and staff on client management and practice development
  • Provide strategic oversight of large-scale and cross-border audit engagements, ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Lead the preparation of proposals and pitch materials, shaping practice growth strategy
  • Apply critical reasoning and professional judgment to deliver clarity and insight, guiding teams and clients through complex issues

Qualifications and requirements 

  • A recognised degree in Accounting or Finance, together with a completed professional qualification
  • Applicants must be a qualified Singapore Chartered Accountant (ISCA) or ICAEW member. Other equivalent qualifications such as ACCA, CA Australia, CPA Australia, or US CPA may also be considered
  • Minimum 7 years of experience for the Manager role or 8 years of experience for the Senior Manager role, including managerial or leadership experience within a professional services firm, with proven ability to lead and develop teams, manage international audit engagements and deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Demonstrated track record of managing large-scale and cross border audit engagements and driving business development activities 
  • Experience in auditing clients in the oil & gas sector, including shipping and logistics, or the real estate sector
  • Strong technical accounting skills with proficiency in SFRS, SSA, IFRS, and ISA
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast paced, results driven environment
  • Willingness to travel to various client sites as required
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills including strong verbal, written and presentation abilities are required due to the client-facing nature of the role
  • Proven leadership in business development, recruiting, training and mentoring, fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and project management capabilities
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and audit preparation software
  • Adaptable, resilient and thrives in a dynamic environment
