Grant Thornton Singapore appoints new territory Practice Leader
Singapore 1 July 2020 – Leading business and financial services firm Grant Thornton Singapore is delighted to announce the appointment of David Sandison, the current Head of Tax, as its new Practice Leader. The move follows the retirement of Jeff Vibert, who has led the firm since 2018 and the audit practice since the firm’s establishment in 2015. Jeff will be moving back to his native Australia to enjoy his retirement.

Singapore ranks 1st in the world in Grant Thornton’s Global Dynamism Index. Grant Thornton has released the 2015 edition of its Global Dynamism Index. The Index, based on data collected by the Economist Intelligence Unit, ranks the business growth environments of 60 leading economies.

This comes amid a surge of overseas real estate activity as investors seek new bedrocks of political stability. However Grant Thornton warns that reliance on instinct, while important, can lead investors to miss emerging pockets of opportunity if not complemented by more analysis and using local expertise.
