Cybersecurity Director

Responsibilities

• Drive business development initiatives to grow Grant Thornton's cybersecurity practice
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and regulatory authorities to support cybersecurity governance and organisational resilience
• Provide thought-leadership insights and guidance on cybersecurity strategies, risk frameworks, and regulatory compliance
• Lead and review the execution and delivery of day-to-day cybersecurity advisory engagements for clients
• Lead incident response, breach management, and post-incident remediation efforts when required
• Develop cyber risk assessments, maturity assessments, security architecture reviews, cloud security evaluations, and compliance programs
• Lead client meetings and strategy discussions, translating complex technical issues into actionable, business-focused recommendations
• Promote the adoption of best practices, frameworks, and emerging technologies across client engagements
• Utilise cyber risk and security tools, dashboards, and financial modelling for risk quantification when applicable
• Coach, mentor, and build the capabilities of team members

Qualifications & requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field
• 10–15 years of cybersecurity experience, with at least 5 years of leadership or management responsibilities
• Experience in consulting or professional services
• Strong knowledge across cybersecurity domains: governance, risk, compliance (GRC), cloud, network, and application security
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, or equivalent
• Experience with regulatory and compliance requirements including PDPA and relevant MAS cybersecurity and technology risk management guidelines
• Experience with cyber risk/security tools, dashboards, or financial modelling is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and client management skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deliver high-impact results
