Responsibilities 

  • Lead and oversee the preparation and strategic review of client proposals, ensuring quality and alignment with audit objectives
  • Lead and drive department initiatives, focusing on audit quality, engagement efficiency, and team development
  • Proactively identify, manage, and develop new business growth opportunities with existing clients
  • Lead, train, and coach audit team members, including conducting timely performance reviews and providing structured feedback to support their development and performance
  • Manage and oversee external audit engagements in accordance with Grant Thornton audit methodology for multinational organisations of various sizes, ensuring quality delivery, adherence to timelines, sound engagement economics and compliance with professional standards
  • Take overall accountability for engagement delivery, including audit planning, risk assessment, and resolution of significant audit issues
  • Ensure external audit engagements comply with internal audit quality requirements, professional standards, and Grant Thornton audit methodology

Qualifications and skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in statutory audit, with at least 2 years of experience in a managerial role
  • Completed qualification for one of the following: Singapore CA, ACCA, CA Australia, CPA Australia, ICAEW, or US CPA is a plus
  • Experience in Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm is advantageous
  • Strong technical accounting skills with proficiency in SFRS and SSA, as well as IFRS and ISA. US GAAP and/or SOX 404 knowledge will be advantageous
