The Tax team

The Tax team supports organisations at every stage of the lifecycle – from structuring business tax effectively and managing any employment tax issues to transactional tax obligations and compliance. The Tax team helps businesses develop strategies that help businesses understand and manage tax liabilities and risk in a transparent and ethical way.

The friendly and supportive Tax team works collaboratively across various four main specialisations – Corporate Tax, Goods and Services Tax (GST), Transfer Pricing, and Employer Solutions and Private Clients. The team openly communicates at all levels, providing support and guidance to develop individuals and use their voice to shape the future of the team.

The role

We are looking for energetic, friendly, and vibrant individuals to join our Tax team as Assistant Associates. Applicants are encouraged to apply for a specific specialisation, i.e. Corporate Tax, GST, Transfer Pricing or Global Mobility Services.

Responsibilities

1. Corporate Tax Assistant Associate

  • Manage/support portfolio of clients for corporate tax compliance services
  • Support clients on IRAS enquiries and audits
  • Assist with corporate tax advisory and consulting assignments
  • Involved with other broader tax matters

2. GST Assistant Associate

  • Manage/support portfolio of GST compliance clients
  • Assist with GST health-checks, GST ACAP and ASK reviews
  • Prepare/draft simple advisory for clients
  • Being part of a multi-disciplined team on transactional work including vendor and purchaser due diligence
  • Support clients on IRAS enquiries and audits
  • Involved with other broader tax matters

3. Transfer Pricing Assistant Associate

  • Manage/support portfolio of TP compliance clients
  • Assist with corporate tax advisory and consulting assignments Assist with TP health-check, TP documentation preparation, related party transactions forms and TP planning reports
  • Prepare/draft simple advisory for clients
  • Prepare financial and economic analysis/benchmarking analysis
  • Involved with other broader tax matters

4. Global Mobility Services Assistant Associate

  • Manage/support a portfolio of clients for global mobility matters (tax and immigration)
  • Prepare tax returns and tax equalisation calculations for their international assignees
  • Assist with immigration applications and cancellations
  • Assist with global mobility tax advisory and consulting assignments on expatriate tax matters, including immigration and compliance
  • Involved with other broader tax matters

Qualifications and requirements

  • Any recognised diploma in any discipline or equivalent qualification in accounting
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Attained / Attaining accreditation from the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP) would be an added advantage
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Able to work with complex and detailed information, organised
  • Pays attention to details and able to manage multiple engagements at the same time
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Skilled in writing, interpersonal communication skills in building rapport and collaborating effectively with other team members
