The role

IT Support / Desktop Engineer will play a key role in enabling Grant Thornton Singapore’s business operations and quality service through technology. The responsibilities include:

  • Administration, support, and configuration of workstation and configuration of desktop software
  • Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including firewall, routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP
  • Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
  • Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximise network efficiency and security
  • Arranging scheduled upgrades
  • Investigating faults in the network
  • Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
  • Handling and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
  • Handling remotely and assisting them on using internal applications such as Sharepoint online
  • Handling daily IT operations for Grant Thornton Singapore’s infrastructure
  • Assisting in the troubleshooting and maintenance of the systems in meeting rooms and ensuring smooth connection to laptops
  • Conducting daily health checks
  • Attending to and resolving incidents reported and operational matters promptly
  • Generating quarterly operation and security reports
  • Providing administrative support for monthly patching and security implementation

Qualifications and requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in system administration, server deployment, Microsoft 365, network configuration, and security
  • Experienced Network administrative background with an eagerness to learn
  • Possess integrity, patience, and analytical skills
  • Able to work independently, multi-task efficiently and be a team player
  • Good communication skills and able to manage users effectively
  • Good working knowledge in Cisco routers/switches, networking, Active Directory, Microsoft OS, backups
