Singapore 4 January 2021 – Leading business and financial services firm Grant Thornton Singapore is pleased to announce the appointment of Belinda Tan as its first partner in the forensic and investigation services (FIS) practice, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to provide clients with top-of the-range forensic advisory services.

In a career spanning more than 25 years, Belinda has worked with key names in the advisory space and most recently was a practice leader and partner at a Big Four firm.

Belinda has led numerous investigations in the Asia Pacific region and specialises in the areas of complex fraud and corruption related investigations, financial statement manipulation, asset misappropriation, accounting issues surrounding the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and anti-corruption and litigation support.

David Sandison, Practice Leader, Grant Thornton Singapore said, “We are delighted to have Belinda on board to support the firm’s clients in identifying, preventing and solving cases of corporate misdoings. She is highly experienced and well respected in her field, and her extensive work with regulators as well as her insights into a wide range of industries will help us to enhance our forensic advisory practice, especially during a time when allocating sufficient resources to fighting financial crime is ever more important.”

Will Davies, Global Co-Head of Forensic Investigation Services across the Grant Thornton International network commented “Belinda has extensive experience in leading forensic and investigation assignments across Asia Pacific. We are delighted that she has joined our Singapore practice to grow Grant Thornton’s forensic capability in both Singapore and across the region.”
