Raja has over 30 years' experience and has been involved in numerous insolvency and restructuring assignments requiring turnaround skills, taking over management of on-going businesses, divestment of assets, and developing schemes of arrangement. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Raja founded his own boutique advisory firm and was previously the ASEAN leader for insolvency and restructuring at a Big 4 firm.
His assignments have been varied and in industries across the spectrum including shipping, real estate, retail, construction and manufacturing. As part of his work, Raja has acquired extensive general and operational management experience involving dealing with complex financial, strategic, legal and commercial issues.
Raja regularly advises directors, syndicates of banks, bond holders and creditors in distress engagements. He also has substantial experience in investigations and litigation support.
