Jeremy heads up the Goods and Services tax (GST) service line of the practice. Jeremy was a part of Grant Thornton’s implementation team during the introduction of Value-Added Tax in the United Arab Emirates (“UAE”) in 2017/2018 and during the course of his career with Grant Thornton has lived in and advised clients on indirect tax matters in UK, UAE and now Singapore.
Given his international experience, Jeremy has a thorough understanding of a number of indirect tax regimes, enabling him to provide a holistic approach when identifying domestic and international indirect tax risks. However, since joining the Singapore practice, Jeremy specialises and focuses his time on Singapore GST matters.
Jeremy advises a portfolio of Multi-national Company (“MNCs”) and Small Medium Enterprises (“SMEs”) on a full spectrum on GST matters. This ranges from GST compliance matters including; registration, GST health checks (Assisted Self-Help Kit (“ASK”) reviews and Assisted Assurance Compliance (“ACAP”)) through to GST advisory assignments such as: GST scheme applications, international inbound projects, tax automation and software implementation reviews across a wide variety of business sectors.
Jeremy regularly presents at webinars and training events, on Indirect Tax matters, on behalf of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”) and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (“ISCA”.)
