Grant Thornton Singapore appoints new partner, Chetan Hans

Chetan is the first partner in the Singapore firm’s Financial Reporting Advisory Services practice and will continue to helm the practice in his new role.

Grant Thornton Singapore announces its appointment of Chetan Hans as Partner. Chetan joined the Singapore office in 2018 as a Director and was the pioneer of the firm’s Financial Reporting Advisory Services (FRAS) practice. He has been leading the practice since then. Under his leadership, the FRAS practice has grown to offer a broad suite of solutions in financial reporting, outsourcing and accounting advisory.

As partner, Chetan will continue to provide advisory in the areas of financial reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with a specialisation in the areas of financial instruments, leases, consolidation, revenue recognition, business combinations, and cryptoassets/ cryptocurrencies.

Chetan has over 16 years of experience in technical accounting across Singapore, India, the United Kingdom and the United States. He holds a Bachelors of Commerce (Honors) from the University of Delhi, and is qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst with CFA Institute USA, Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant with ACCA UK, and Certified Practising Accountant with CPA Australia.
