Stefanie has over 10 years of valuable experience in the areas of individual income tax in Singapore. She spent 3 years with Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) before joining a professional accounting firm as a tax supervisor, and now Grant Thornton, to oversee a portfolio of international mobile employees.
Stefanie started her income tax career in IRAS where she specialised in Singapore individual income tax. During her time with IRAS, she reviewed Singapore individual income tax returns and handled queries from taxpayers across different industries.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton Singapore, Stefanie was the Tax Supervisor with one of the professional accounting firms in Singapore for 7 years. In that role, she was tasked to manage the portfolio of globally mobile employees, including tax advisory and audits from tax authorities. As the tax supervisor, she was also closely involved with the training and support to junior team members to ensure a high standard of quality in the work and continuous development.
With the changing global mobility landscape where more companies focus on extended business trips, frequent travellers, commuters, Stefanie understands how these types of moves present a host of challenges for companies from compliance, tax, immigration, and security perspective to cost issues.
