Michelle has over 10 years of professional experience in Singapore taxation, including 4 years in the Big 4 doing corporate tax. She also spent 2 years with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), focusing on tax policies relating to funds and asset management.

Her expertise includes corporate tax advisory for clients from various industries, including Multi-National Enterprises and incentive award companies. She has provided advice in the areas of amalgamations, cross-border transactions and tax incentive applications for funds. She has also worked closely with Ministry of Finance (MOF) and Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) to develop and execute tax policies and strategies for the financial sector during her time with MAS.

Michelle graduated with a Bachelor Degree (Honours) at Nanyang Technological University and is a Member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.

Funds Stricter criteria for family offices applying for tax incentives 13O and 13U

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) announced that single family offices will have to meet stricter criteria in order to qualify for the tax exemptions under sections 13O and 13U of the Income Tax Act (ITA).
